Vincent Barré a réalisé les grilles d'entrée en acier brut de l'église Saint-Martin.
"Elles sont faites d'une résille de lamelles inclinées telles que, suivant la hauteur du regard et l'incidence de la lumière, on les perçoive avec des épaisseurs variables. De loin, on voit une arborescence, et quand on s'approche, on lit la diversité de cette tessiture. L'épaisseur correspond à un temps pour le franchissement d'un seuil, surtout quand les grilles sont fermées. Leur transparence devient alors un appel".

Vincent Barré created the entrance gates in raw steel for the church of St. Martin. “Strips of steel in a framework are positioned on a slant so that according to the height at which they are viewed, and the light, their thickness seems to vary. From a distance, they form an arborescence, and when viewers approach, their diverse texture comes into play. The thickness corresponds to the time taken in crossing the threshold, especially when the gates are closed. Their transparency seems to call on people to approach”.

Vincent Barré hat die Gittertüren aus unbearbeitetem Stahl der Kirche Saint-Martin realisiert. „Sie bestehen aus einem schräg gestellten Lamellennetz, das der Blickhöhe und dem Lichteinfall folgt. Man nimmt sie in unterschiedlicher Tiefe wahr. Von weitem sieht man eine Baumstruktur, und wenn man näher kommt, liest man die Vielfalt dieser Stimmlage. Die Tiefe entspricht der Zeit um eine Schwelle zu überschreiten, vor allem, wenn die Gittertüren geschlossen sind. Ihre Transparenz wird somit zum Appell.“
