Bogomir ECKER, Das Periskop (2004). Petuelpark. Munich (Germany)

When you look through this ancient periscope, located in a small area surrounding by hedges, you discover what is happening in the tunnel below the park, a continuous flood of cars, even the sound of the engines. Suddenly you are struck by this show, and become aware that the park is built over a large urban traffic road. The contrast is striking between the peaceful green space for walkers and the tumultuous agitation and pollution caused by automobile traffic below. You are immersed into the bowels of the city, similar to being in Hell.
