This graphic sign is set on a platform at the top of a 9.6m tall mast-like pole on Rhône Square. Seen from one angle, the south west, these figures reveal the word NON (no). Seen from another, the south east, the word is OUI (yes). Tracing the space between these two points, one perceives the transformation of the word. At the same time the effect is one of substitution. Thus this work plays with optic laws of anamorphosis but with the added particularity of offering, depending on the point of view, two distinct images from a similar form.
