The City of Munich dedicates up to 2% of its construction budget of its city buildings to fund public art.
This strong commitment to public art – which started a long time ago and is still very much alive - makes Munich the most important example of a municipal public art program in Germany.
Munich’s public art program is consulted by a special commission in the Building Department of the City Administration.
