Krijn GIEZEN (1939-2011)
Krijn Giezen’s important legacy is in his public art projects, especially those involving the urban and natural landscapes.
In these works, the artist becomes a social activist and focuses on the impact of human activity on the landscape as well as on the constant process of growth and decay.
Krijn Giezen likes to recycle materials collected from the site and makes them an important aspect and component of his projects.
Another recurring element of his vocabulary is a feeling of flux or change. Like life itself, his public art works are in a constant process of evolution.
